May 9, 200620 yr Well I just place the order for my new PC to fly my MSFS9....I will be able to upgrade when FSX comes out.Here is what I ordered...Asus A8N5X MOBO....Socket 939AMD 64 3200.......Socket 939Asus EN6600 256 DDR PCI Ex...Vid Card2 - Sticks PC-3200 DDR 400 Ram1- Seagate 120 Gig HD1- 400 watt CaseWinXP H.EdI will canabilze my Audigy sound card and my CDR and DVD from my older system..... What do you all think.......did I do great......

May 9, 200620 yr Just looking at your system specs I would say that set up is about average for FS9. The best thing about it is that it can easily be upgraded because nobody knows what FSX will require.Regards, Carlos

May 9, 200620 yr yeah for 600 that's an ok system, although average seeing the cpu and videocard, a better choice would have been at least a 6800 then again add another 100 bucks or so. And as for upgrading, best guess is that our systems now for 90% of the simmers needs upgrading to run fsx at or around the best settings as we have now in 9. Just read what goodies are around the corner (if they hold up to their expectations) that besides the point right now, but even if you have like a 939 board for example, the new AM2 wont run on it (some using a bridge card like asrock do). Its too early to upgrade now having fsx in mind imho. The upgrades we can do now, is for it to boost fs9's performance. That said, i hope your happy with the system you have now and wish you happy simmin'
