May 29, 200620 yr I have color-corrected my LCD monitor using the Spyder2Express. It's made a tremendous difference and looks far superior to the way I had the monitor set up originally. My problem/question is that whenever I open FS9 it reverts back to the uncorrected settings. Any idea about how I get FS9 to accept or recognize the newer, color-corrected display? Thanks!
May 29, 200620 yr Chuck,You don't mention what vid card you have...any way to set up a profile for FS with your card software?jbUtilities & FS screenies: [a href=http://exmixer.com" target="_blank]exmixer.com[/a]
May 29, 200620 yr Author It's an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. When I go into Control Panel, Display, Advanced, Color Mgt, Color Profiles - I see 1901FP (the old setting) and Spyder2express (the default) which is the correct setting. FS9 reverts back to the 1901FP.
May 29, 200620 yr Chuck,I have the same card on a Dell 8300. I'm not sure what the actual path you're describing is: >>Control Panel, Display, Advanced, Color Mgt, Color Profiles<
May 29, 200620 yr Author jb,I'm referring to getting to the settings via Control Panel through Settings, Advanced, Color Mgt, Color Profiles. I also have the Catalyst Control Center, but find nowhere in there a setting for my Spyder2Express profile. ???? Thanks.

May 29, 200620 yr Chuck,I *am* slow today, jeesh, completely misunderstood which Control Panel you were referring to, which I now understand to be the Win XP CP. Duh, my stupidity. Does 'too many refreshing beverages on a holiday that nobody celebrates for the right reason' cover my error here?Since it doesn't seem like there's a trial dnld of your ColorVision software, I can't run through how to add that profile as you'd like. There's gotta be a way, or perhaps in the ATI CCC you could set up a profile that would mimic your Spyder settings??? I've created a profile in the ATI CCC with tweaked gamma levels for FS to get a bit more brightness etc. (unfortunately the brightness part doesn't apply to the owner/operator of the machinery). Here are the steps I used: Open ATI CCC, go to 'Color'Where it says "Set color correction for": select Full Screen 3D from the dropdown menuYou can adjust Gamma, Brightness and ContrastUntil a better solution, maybe that'll help. Not trying to make light of your situation, but that may be a way to accomplish what you'd like. Any luck with their tech folks?Best,jbUtilities & FS screenshots: [a href=http://exmixer.com" target="_blank]exmixer.com[/a]
