Featured Replies

Dear Friends,I am planning to order a new system.I have chosen the following specifications but i am not sure I made the right choice. I want the best performance available Intel Pentium D 3.0 GHz Intel mainbord 975 chipset 2x 1 GB DDR2 RAM 667 MhzATI X1800 512 MB PCI-E500 WATT Power SupplyWestern Digital 36 GB 10.000 rpm 16 MB SATA HarddiskWindows XPDo you guys think I have chosen the correct components or do you think you know something better? Please let me knowKind RegardsKim

It all depends on $$$$$ if you priced out the best system in your dollar range, I think that system will do a good job for FS. Remember you can always get more horsepower, but is the $ worth it for the extra couple of frames or eye candy, and you can always upgrade latter on. The ATI x1800 is a great card for FS... I wouldn't worry about your chooses, enjoy your simming time..

The one thing that stands out is the hard drive space...a 36 gig Raptor is fine as your OS drive...but you'll probably want more space for your FS stuff. You might consider a second higher capacity hard drive for all your FS stuff. I know I have at least 40-50 gigs of FS stuff alone.Rhett
