Anyone using Windows X64?

I am being offered it for half the price (a friend that had problems with some drivers). Is it worth to try it? The 120 day trial is free. You may want that instead.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Well yeah, I can do the trial, but what are your thoughts about it? Is it worth trying it? Will I feel any difference with my 64bit hardware? Thanks,Leo

I use it as a dual-boot secondary - Lexmark won't make drivers for my x5150, and I need that for work. BUT - it blows my mind how my 3500+ & 2GB of RAM makes the machine boot in less than 15 seconds on that version!

Hi,I didn't want to try a dual install with XP and Win64 for 120 days so I didn't download it. This is the Mom and Dad computer and I don't feel like messing with it too much with Vista in the nearer future.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

OK, I will give it a shot. I will let you know later about it.Leo

With Windows Vista only a few months away in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions this might be a useful exercise for exploring 64-bit computing on your hardware, but ultimately X64 is a nothing OS.Allcott

Well. I'm not running X64, only the good old 32-bit version of XP.I've decided to stay on thsi until I can get a computer with DX10 and 64-bit compatible hardware. Then I'll buy Vista, FSX and other things.I haven't heard much about the Windows X64. The driver problem is one of the negative things I've heard.
