  8. Have been checking now. RWY02 at NZCH is almost the same position as you: S43:29.82/E172:31.36.The NAVDATA was a little different, but nothing serious.I'll try to remove the FMCWP folder, and install the newest AIRAC again.
  9. >>By the way, forum rules require we sign our real name to our>posts.Thanks. It's updated now. I'm not very much on this forum so I don't konw all the rules.
  10. Hmm... News. I have tested a flight from Wellington (NZWN to NZCH) and choose a NDB "OD" as part of my route. Following the FMC it should have a poistion in the middle of the mountains on the South Island of New Zealand . In reality i's placed north east of NZCH. And to get it even more strange then the FMC says that rwy 02 at Christshcurch is placed in the wrong position for "OD". And it's the same place NZCH chould be placed.Attch#1: The plane is placed on RWY02 in NZCH. As you can see the NZCH is far away.Attch#2: Where the FMC says NZCH is placed and where the NDB OD is positioned. Even though the OD shold be placed at the end of ILSRWY20 at NZCH.
  11. I have some major problems in the FMC.I would like to start a flight from Christchurch, New Zealand. In the "POS INIT" page I'm getting my own position. It show something like "S43*******, W173*********" You know how the position is written. Then I inset the "REF AIRPORT". Pressing NZCH and push the button nest to "REF AIRPORT". But the FMC says the coordination for NZCH is "S42********, W172********".Then I'm going to the "RTE" page, And once again I press NZCH into the "ORIGIN" and then the airports is showed on the "navigation display". It shows that the airport is placed about 160 kms north west of the real position of NZCH.I can take some screenshots of it if you want.I have tried other airports all over the world, and they are also being displayed in the wrong position.I have reinstalled the PMDG planes once, and installed the newest AIARAC and the newest SID/STAR for NZCH. But It's still showing the error. Can anyone help me, so I can get it working again.

One of my friends had that problem. He's on a Dual-Core, 2gb ram, 7950GX2 GFX-card and some more I can't remember right now.But the only way he could sovle the problem was the get a RAM-cleaner and a reinstallation of XP.
  14. I can try to do it, but I'm not sure. But I have only seen it once, so it's not important that it is solved. I havn't seen is later. But I can give it a try again.
  15. No. The first (with the problem) was a B747. The second was a A340.I have later seen many B747's land in FS, and noone was doing the same as the B747 involved in this problem.
  16. Hey.I got a problem some time ago when I was looking at my AI in LEMD.I saw a B747 landing, but it touched-downed more about a
  17. >Interesting stuff! Thanks for the post. Overall it was fun>making the flight and I learned a little bit about a part of>the world that doesn't get a lot of attention.>>Jim>In the last 10-15 years Greenland has got more and more tourists each year. It's one of the few countries where you can't drive between the cities and towns. You either have to sail or fly. Either in helicopter or if it's longer distances in one of the DHC-7 Greenlandair have in service.
  18. >Narsarsuaq has some advantages - but also some distinct>disadvantages when compared to Sondrestrom - the primary>alternative.>>Many people want to be closer to the ocean than over the>middle of the ice cap for most of the flight to Iceland.>>Narsarquaq can be a horrible place to land safely / takeoff in>poor weather - and it's a visual landing.>>Narsarquaq is also much more isolated and expensive than>Sondrestrom is there is a repair needed or they have to wait>out weather for a couple days.>>But airplanes with 1,200nm legs can take the St John's>Newfoundland to Azores route - which many prefer.Have been in Greenland and Narsarsuaq. Great place. A very small town/village with a small shop, hotel, hostel, harbor, airport and a few houses. Nothing else. If you know the ICAO-code for Narsarsuaq, it's a historial code. ICAO for Narsarsuaq is BGBW. BW stands for Bluie West, and was the name for the airport during WW2. A few kilometres away from the airport, a large hospital was build. Many woonded US-soldiers from Europe landed here, and was getting care on the hospital. After WW2 the base lost it's function, and the goverment cleared the airport and hospital. Many years later the goverment i Greenland found out, that the place where the base had been, was great when they was looking for a place to build a new airport covering Southern Greenland. It's was rebuild and the small town grow up near the only road in the town. This road was used to connect the airport and hospital. But now it's mainly tourists and the people in the town that uses the road. Tourists mostly because the best and most simple way to get to the inland ice. This is because the ice is only 10 km's from the city, and therefore the nearest place in Greenland where you can come very close to the ice.Another thing I saw in this topic, was the windering about why Greenland is called Greenland and Iceland is called Iceland. I've heard this story (don't know if it's true). The viking (Erik the Red) who "found" Iceland, was rejeceted from Norway, and was sailing to the west. He saw the big ice cover, Iceland has on it's Eastern part. Therefore he called it Iceland. He made a new colony on Iceland. Some years later Erik was also rejeceted from Iceland because he had killed someone important person. Therefore he was sailing tot he wast again, because he had herad that there was some land out there. He found a green land, where his sheeps and cows could get food, and where it was possible to settled down. Therefore he called it Grrenland. He didn't know that 99% of the country was covered with ice.A few years ago some experts foudn some old building just on the other side of the fjord, where Narsarsuaq is placed today. They found a few farms and even a church. They had foudn, what many people belive is the remains of the farm that Erik the Red build when he arrivled to Greenland. The church was confusing them, but they belive they have found the answer. Eriks wife is said, that she was converted to Christianity. So she had decided to build a church a little away form the town she was living in, so she could have the religion for herself.I Hope it's okay with this off-topic reply.Sounds like a good and long tour you got there, Jim.
  19. Well. I'm not running X64, only the good old 32-bit version of XP.I've decided to stay on thsi until I can get a computer with DX10 and 64-bit compatible hardware. Then I'll buy Vista, FSX and other things.I haven't heard much about the Windows X64. The driver problem is one of the negative things I've heard.

And I thought that the Simmer's Sky model was hard to beat???I can only say, that I'll get this one ASAP.
  21. AS6 includes the clouds. But you can deside not to install the clods. Just use the weather generator tool. Active Sky Graphic is a stand-alone program included in Active Sky 6, containing a large nummber of diffrent cloud combinations and other graphical improvments. But as I said. You can deside not to open teh Graphic program and just use the weather generator tool instead.
  22. Another great soundpack is the one Christoffer Petersen have made. I beta-tested the package and is one of the best soundpack I have ever heard. (Search for dc-9-pw_jt8d-5.zip)
