June 12, 200619 yr With the imminent arrival of FSX I thought I would treat myself to a new controller. I currently use a sidewinder precision 2. Does anyone have any thoughts on where I should go from here. Budget? call it a
June 13, 200619 yr Dunno how much CH Yoke and Rudder pedals are in pomme land, but here in the US they go for US$200-250 for the pair. This is a bit above your budget, but a notable improvement in aircraft handling IMO, well worth the few extra bux, or pounds as the case may be.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
June 13, 200619 yr I would treat yourself to a CH yolk and pedals. It's the only way to fly. I got mine as a birthday present about 15 years ago. I'm still using them, in fact I just took a flight with them tonight. It's well worth the money. If you have a decent joystick now, buying another one won't increase your level of immersion. If you can't afford the whole package, start with just the yoke.
June 13, 200619 yr Get a hotas setup. Joysticks is much more versatile and precise so unless you can afford both a joystick and Yoke get a HOTAS setup. Saitek X-52 perhaps :)That and maybe comp them with some pedals. I use racing wheel pedals works great because they are so crap they are better suited for rudder control then gas break control because the springs is so weak and the travel is so short ;)CH products is a bit overpriced so you can get like a really good wheel like the DFP PRO for the same price.
