Erratic Mouse Behavior in FS9

Featured Replies

Guys,I own a Logitech G7 cordless mouse and have had Logitech mice going back at least a decade. I've had a problem in FS9 back to the first days with it regarding my mouse and just assumed it was something everyone was dealing with. Then I finally, after all this time, did a search and didn't see any topics discussing this (might have been a poor search) so.....In FS9, using the Windows Default cursors, the mouse cursor is often impossible to find. It disappears as it should after I stop moving it but then most of the time when I do want to move it, it often doesn't reappear properly and seems to get "lost" behind elements of the various panels and such. This even happens in menus before flying like in "Create a Flight".Sometimes it takes quite a bit of work to get the pointer to behave long enough to change a radio frequency or enter in a new heading via the dial, etc.Any ideas? Obviously I've tried different mouse drivers (all Logitech though) and even different mice as this is just the latest one and the others prior to this all acted this way too. I noticed that on my father-in-law's system (also a Logitech mouse) his new FS9 setup (just got him hooked) it's doing the same exact thing.

I know this is going to sound dumb but is it an optical mouse? IF so, Are you using a mouse pad? If not, use a mouse pad. Mine always act like that when I try to use them on my desk.

It's optical and on an Everglide Giganta mousepad.

Hi RichI have recently been experiencing a similar problem in FS9 with my Logitech Click Cordless optical mouse. I lose the cursor and when I find it I cannot stop it moving across the screen which makes it impossible to click on switches or rotate knobs. I end up having to shut down and re-boot. It only seems to have occurred when I havent been using my mouse matChris

Ok, another dumb suggestion:Check for spyware and viruses. I think there was a virus a few years back that caused mouse issues.
