August 24, 200619 yr Hi allI have two monitors on one gt6800 cardone dvi and one vgathe resolution is differentI expanded the screen using a side by side configurationIt seems to work when I am in windows but when i start fs things get very strange..1 the resolution is incorrect, it does not remain at the sceen hardware resolution, I get the window stretched across part of the second screen. Which resolution governs, windows or fs settings2. frame rates drop3. The is allot of instability in fs and does not run properlyWhat is the proper procedure to set up the monitors and resolution. How can i control frame ratesIs it ok to have a vga and dvi working at the same timeIs there a way to accel frame rates Thankspk
August 25, 200619 yr Hi pk,Let me try to help. I've been running multiple monitors (currently three) on one PC for a couple of years.>1 the resolution is incorrect, it does not remain at the sceen>hardware resolution, I get the window stretched across part>of the second screen. Which resolution governs, windows or fs>settingsYou can correct the stretched-window-across-two-screens problem by resizing the window(s) and saving a new Flight. When you recall that Flight, it will "remember" the window sizes. As far as what determines resolution, it seems that if you run FS in windowed mode, the monitors' resolution will be that of the Windows Desktop. If, on the other hand, you run FS in full-screen mode, then the resolutions set on the flight sim Options > Settings > Display > Hardware page are used.>2. frame rates dropI'm afraid there is always a bit of a drop but it can be minimized. I've found there are two items that cause the greatest impact:1. Windows stretched across two screens (see above).2. Displaying more that one 3D view on more than one screen.Having said that, then you're left with experimentation. Try both windowed mode and full-screen mode with FS. One or the other will work better. On my old system full-screen mode was best, when I got a new system in February, I found that windowed mode worked best on it.>3. The is allot of instability in fs and does not run>properly>>>What is the proper procedure to set up the monitors and>resolution.>How can i control frame rates>Is it ok to have a vga and dvi working at the same time>Is there a way to accel frame rates I believe that, if you try the things listed above, then you'll find FS works as well with two monitors as it did with one. And, yes, you can run one VGA and one DVI simultaneously and set each one to a different resolution.Again, let me strees that these suggestions are based on my observation and "your mileage may vary." But I can tell you that is it worth the effort to get it working. I would really hate to go back to one screen.R-

August 25, 200619 yr Author >Hello,>Do not forget to "set" the same resolutions in the FS9 Display>Hardware window!>Hope it helps. So thank youI got things working..so of.....Here's what i didI use 1 dvi and one vgaall is ok with two diff resolutions and the primary monitor res. is the same as the fs res. I use the window mode, that way i dont get any over run on the second screenI am able to manipulate things if i use window mode, but I fly a pmdg 747 737, and they are memory intensive , so i get allot of stutterOne other big issue is that now my mouse is constantly flickering badly ( even with basic fs aircraft)very tough to click detailhas anyone seen this mouse thing before?? thoughtsPeterPeter
August 26, 200619 yr Hello,Yes, I have from time to time the same mouse problem during a few seconds, I never found the reason. Emile EBBR Z590 Aorus Elite, i9-11900K 3.5Ghz Nvidia RTX 5070, 32 GB Mem, SSD 3 Tera , 3 monitors Win11 Pro X64 LM P3D V6.1 Little Nav Map Hifisim Nvidia 591.44
