CH Yoke/Throttle - Prop RPM Problem

Featured Replies

Hello,I have had this issue for a long time but it just became harder to deal with when I installed my new SAAB addon. The SAAB is very sensitive to prop rpm on takeoff. What I have is an issue with the PROP RPM lever on the CH Yoke. It start out (with the lever fully forward) OK. But, if I reduce the RPM (pull it anywhere forward) it will never return to 100% when I push it back. I have the CH CMCC software and I calibrate regularly but to no avail.BTW - if I use my GOFLIGHT levers they work fine.Anybody seen this before or have any ideas? Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNEAR KCHS

Hi Ron,I get this problem a lot.I use a CH Virtual Pilot Pro with 2 CH Throttle Quadrants. The only way I have found to cure the problem is to use FSUIPC by Pete Dowson, and read his user guide very carefully. I use the CH Control Manager software to calibrate in Windows, but I didn't get on with it for FS. FSUIPC allows you to calibrate the controls for every individual aircraft. That way the Prop/Mixture/Throttle levers work very precisely for a wide array of setups. This is particularly useful on the CS Hercules with thrust reversers, taxying backwards from a parking slot is a treat! If you haven't seen it, you might wan't to check out http://www.stickworks.com for some help files on setting up CH throttles and controls.regards,David.

Hello and thanks,I'll get on with trying to fix this. It's just a small bother since I have a GOFLIGHT system also.Cheers,Ron SagelNEAR KCHS
