September 3, 200619 yr I have two small pieces of what appear to be dried packaging glue or some sort of packaging gum on the left side of my 24" DELL LCD. They're both small, about 1/8 or 1/4 ", but definitely visible on the lower left side of the monitor when the monitor is off. I think it's leftover resideue from the packaging glue or gum. Can anybody suggest a safe method for me to remove these little specks? Thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
September 3, 200619 yr Rub it with an ice cube. It should then just flick off, if its a gum or glue.Allcott
September 4, 200619 yr Author I had asked DELL previously, but they had no good ideas so I thought I'd try something more positive--like the forum!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
