I want to make a small upgrade to my system for FS9 use but not sure what I should do. My main problem is that my Mobo doesnt have a PCI-Ex16 slot for the video card I want (7900GTX). My current system is Processor/CPU: Intel P4 3.2GHZ 512K 800FSB SOCKET 478 RETAIL CPUMoBo: ASUS P4C800-E DELUXE 800FSB MULTI-RAID LAN Chipset: Intel 875P Chipset w/ 800 MHz FSB Memory:2 x Kingston 512MB PC3200 NONECC DDRAM Memory =1024MBHard Drive: Seagate Serial 160GB 7200RPM S-ATAVideo Card: e-VGA GeForce FX 5900 SESound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP ProAny thoughts.

I just replied with this post in another thread, it applies here also: :)If for the time being you're still with AGP then you are somewhat limited but the 7800 GS+ 512Mb (Gainward golden sample, limited edition with only 1500 worldwide) is currently the fastest AGP card on the market (it's actually got a G71 core, same as 7950 GX2).

Thank You.Thats the help I was looking for. I wanted a new video card but didnt want to go with a slight upgrade like something in the 68 or 73 series.I found one at overclokers in the uk.My system is very stable and runs fs very good but felt like a newer video card would help preformance until I'm ready to get a new computer.Switching out a video card is an easy task and less of a thing to worry about with conflicts like a cpu or hard drive.I'll post a test result of the new card when I get it using aquamark.
