Anti-aliasing problem...?

Featured Replies

Hi,I have a strange problem, from time to time it appears my AA is switched off automatically in FS leaving all edges very bad looking. I'm using 4xAA and 16xAF via the hardware settings and I have AA disabled in FS per recommendation. When this happens I can fix the problem (with FS still running) by going into the display settings for my Gfx card and change the AA for example from 4x -> 6x. Then the FS window is updated and everything looks smooth and fine again until this happens the next time when I change back to 4x AA and the problem is fixed again and this keeps happening over and over again...I'm using an ASUS EAX1900XTX with Catalyst drivers shown in the pic below, WinXP Pro and FS 9.1I had the same problem with my old PC where I also used an ATI card but a X800Pro...don't know if this could be some kind of ATI illness?Anyone else seen this problem and found a cure for it?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/156711.jpg

Is this in FSX or FS9?It seems sometimes after I exit out of FSX that my AA turns off. I'm on the Radeon X800.
