October 7, 200619 yr With your setup, it shouldn't be 1-2FPS. Even with the slider to 80% to the right.. you should get 20FPS steady for the demo.Did you install the nvidia driver?Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
October 7, 200619 yr hi mannyyes it was 5.9 nvidia..im a long time Ati user so not sure where to go for new drivers,or even if there are any newer than 5.9.also a problem with a new Viewsonic 22" lcd monitor..keeps diplaying a message to change to 1680x1050 res.overrides FSX and diplays this box over the top of it..i'm running FSx at 1280x1024.not sure if this is cause of bad Fps.can't find where to turn this off.Grrr. cheers steve
October 7, 200619 yr Steve,The latest nVidia driver can be got here.http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.aspRelease 90Version: 91.47MannyAfter the installation of the driver, place your cursor anywhere on the desktop and right mouse click. then select nividia......settings or whatever and you can adjust the resolutions. It would change there for 20 seconds and give you an option to either keep it or rever back. And then set the same settings withing FS9 as well.Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
October 7, 200619 yr Thanks mannyi think theres more to it than display drivers,i can get FSX to run steady 20fps for maybe 30secs,all of sudden drops to 2-3fps,something is running in the background.i've got spyware doctor and it finds nothing.so..it must be a hardware problem somewhere.driver issue???i'm downloading the new drivers from Nvidia now.fingers crossed. thanks steve
