FS X Installs DirectX, but what version?

Hi Emil; Click Start then Run. Type dxdiag then click OK. The first screenwill have the version number listed.

The version number has stayed at 0904 for some time, but various files have been updated through the MS monthly DirectX upgrade. You'd need to do a file by file comparison on version numbers. Not much fun.Fortunately it doesn't matter, DirectX updaters only update older files with newer, not the other way around. Unless the DX version shipped with FSX is newer than the October release (which it isn't as it shipped before 10/10 for the latest version) you don't have to worry.Allcott
