Dell XPS Sound card would not fit in my new PC. Any ideas?

Featured Replies

I have the "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS SB0350 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card" that came with the Dell XPS Gen2 PC.When I built my PC, I thought I could use that card.http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.as...nd+Card+%2D+OEMHowever, it doesn't seem to fit. The Slot on the MB and the Sound Card is off my 2mm or so.. cause its hitting against the Case (Lian Li).I am not sure if its the card, or the Lian Li Case or the ASUS MB. Or did I place the MB on the case wrong. I thought the spacers that I had to put on the Case and the MB scerewed to it are all standards. The Video card that I bought seems to fit. Is it possible that Dell uses non standard Audio cards? even thought its an Audigy2 ZS? They do use non stand everything else. But then, I am sure people do upgrade their Dell by getting a sound card from the stores....Right? If its non standard, how would they do that? Hmmm...I don't have another sound card to try it out.Manny
