Clouds set to max density and 3D, 80nm vis. Almost all cockpit gauge options set for complex, commercial add-on a/c. System Frames capped at 24/sec.This rig flies. It just flies. I just flew the PMDG 744 in cloudy weather with heavy x-winds at 4000' down to landing. I had the 2D view on the 2405 monitor and an undocked SPOT view window on the 2001 LCD (with FSNavigator also active on it all the time during my simming) that I had stretched to about a 15x15" with frames averaging 13-16 (visually fluid) on approach and touchdown at Fly Tampa's KSFO. It was sensational. nVidia card temp didn't exceed 48C and was often as low as 42C with less complex add-ons in a similar flight sim screen mode. This is fairly amazing to me since I understand that the limit for nVidia drivers is 4 million pixels. I had at least 4.32 million pixels being pushed out and the card remained relatively cool.Perhaps it's all just beginner's luck. Or maybe it's the reward for 9 years of dedication, effort, blood, sweat, tears, -- and swearing.Just had to share this--oh, OK, and show off just a little bit too. I AM mighty proud of this show. Hope it lasts another coupla years.JS

I hope it's the video card as I just ordered one.JimCYWG

I now have the card running a 24" LCD and a 20.1" LCD, both DELLsat their native resolutions which are very high. Both fantastic displays. The card is powerful but the rendering is not quite as fine as ATI. There is a lot of brute power from the memory capacity and memory clock but there are some slight imperfections. ATI renders FSAA better but this card does aniso as well as ATI. Sunset and dusk produces some strange shades and colors but ATI did as well although ATI's were more palatable. I think some of this perhaps depends on your monitor and color and gamma settings. Finally, there is some mile shimmering or "swimming" of textures when viewed from certain angles that is just classic nVidia stuff and that I never saw with ATI.Overall, however, the card is fairly amazing for the price. It's a little more than half the cost of the ATI equivalent.Good luck!JS
