New Notebook - FSX compatible?

Featured Replies

I ordered a new notebook computer to augment my old AMD that I have used pretty succesfully for FS2004. Following are the specs. What are some of you hardware gurus thoughts for running FSX with this system? Thanks in advance for the input.Subject: ExecutionerNote:Chassis: Executioner SXGA+ 17"CPU: Core 2 Duo T7400 2.16 Ghz Memory: 3 GB DDR2-667 Hard Drive: 100 GB 7,200 Wireless Network & Bluetooth Cards: 108 Mbps Mini PCIe BlueTooth Video Card: 7950 GTX 512 MB Optical Drive: Dual Layer DVD Burner Software: Windows XP Pro Nero Burning ROM, WinDVD If okay I will post the builders website address if requested.

yes.my notebook runs it with tweaks and low autogen settings quite well, and my book isn't nearly what yours is.

Brad S,Hi, I am thinking to get another laptop much the same as yours. I'd be interested to know how it works out. My current laptop is a hp zd8000, p4-3.2, 1 gig ddr2 pc4200, 256 meg ati x600, 80 gig 5400rpm hd, - and it handles fs9 pretty good but for fsx a new rig will be needed. The 3 places I'm comparing to get the new laptop from are Voodoo, Dell xps, and hp dv9000. Still doing the research. I want the new one to be able to eventually handle dx10 and vista well and for this kind of money I would like to get at least 3 years life performance wise. Please post your experiences when you get it. If you would pm at that time me that would be appreciated. Many thanks.Dave
