>Hello folks out there tell me will a AMD64 FX-57 for 900.00 ,$900 is a rip-off for an FX-57. First of all, the 1mb cache 90nm AMD's like the FX-57 is being phased out of production, and you may have trouble finding one. Please don't spend $900 on an FX-57. It's a great cpu for FSX, but it can be had cheaper than that.>2 gigs of fast memory, 74 gig sata 10.000 raptor drive, the>best vid card out today no matter the cost and whatever is the>best motherboard play FSX.>If you are building a whole new rig, your best bet is a Core 2 Duo.The people telling you that FX-57 is best for FSX, are correct IF you presently have a Socket 939 platform computer. On the other hand, the present overall best cpu for FSX is the Extreme Edition Core 2 Duo.The best budget cpu for FSX is a 3700+ like I have, or a 4000+.In fact you can build a complete rig like mine that will be decent in FSX for only about $600 tops.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2530 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian
