December 8, 200619 yr Well, I've been using FS2004 for about a year, in a Pentium 4 1.6 GHz, 512 MB RAM and an old ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 7500 with 64 MB, of which only 32 survive :(.The first recommendation I read everywhere for increasing performance in FS9 is to get the latest drivers for your devices. I e-mailed ATI about a problem I had some time ago, and I told them that I was using Catalyst 6.5 (the latest at that date). They said that "With your product you should not be running Catalyst 6.5 and the latest MMC software. The last recommended release for your product is Catalyst 4.10 and MMC 9.02".So I uninstalled Catalyst 6.5, and installed 4.10, but I didn't like it and installed the Radeon Omega Drivers (the equivalent of Catalyst 4.9). The BIG question here is: Should I install the newer Omega Drivers (for example the 3.8.252 ones, equivalent to Catalyst 6.5), or should I leave it that way? Anyway, ATI does not support Omega drivers.I'm almost happy with my performance (locked at 10 FPS, variation percentage (%V) under 5% except at SKBO, SVMI and KJFK, where it can go up to 15%, Autogen normal, dense scenery with Colombia Virtual 2005 and 31% AI traffic (Virtualcol), I fly almost only airliners.... PMDG 737 and Level-D 767, blah, blah, blah...), except in online flying, when it becomes a slideshow for the entire flight (Squawkbox 3).Thanks in advance, and sorry for a long post.Luis MiguelPS: I know some of you will say "Upgrade your machine!". I'm just asking for advice to make FS9 work until I can afford a system upgrade. December 8, 200619 yr Try them all, keep the ones that work for you. There is no betetr advice for card/driver questions like this. Use System Restore to create a backup point and you can play with drivers to your hearts content and still only ever be a couple of clicks away from getting your original settings and drivers back!Allcott
