December 16, 200619 yr I'm planning on using the insides of an old USB 3 axis joystick as toebrakes and rudder. X axis will become L toe brakeY axis will become R toe brakeZ(throttle) axis will become rudder.I'm confused about how the calibration will go as Windows calibration screen identifies X and Y as going from, say -127 to +127 and Z as going from 0 to 255. But for the application I need X and Y to go from 0 to 255 and Z to go from -127 to +127. And what happens about centring? Can Windows sort this out on its own? I don't want to get a registered version of FSUIPC at present as I'll be switching to FSX sometime early next year and don't want to have to buy 2 versions of FSUIPC.Thanks for any guidance.--Bryn
December 17, 200619 yr Author Update: the plan is to install the joystick USB electronics into some CH gameport pedals, as in this thread:www.ch-hangar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3506I find that the CH only wires the potentiometer slider and one end, whereas the USB electronics wires both ends of the pots as well as the slider, so I'll have to put some extra wires in the CH unit. The layout of the CH unit means there will be a fairly long wiring run from the toebrake pots to the new USB interface board - not sure if thiswill be a problem.--Bryn
