December 22, 200619 yr Hello,I just built the following system:AMD 4800+ Dual Core160GB Sata HDD2GB DDR400 Ultra Ram Dual ChannelNvidia 7600GS AGP 512KWhen I load up FSX, the program freezes within a minute. Sometimes I have to restart the computer, sometimes it goes blue screen with the NV4_disp.dll file as the problem (one of the Nvidia driver files I guess). I have drivers 91.47 installed, although I have tried the new ones 93.71 but get the same result. My fans are working and tempature all good.I have a Nvidia 6600GT that I could go back to and try.Is there any settings on the video that I should tweak to try to get this working. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,Ken

I have the same problem, no matter what setting I use in it. 1000000, 2000000, or 5000000. FSX will either eventually crash lockup, or corrupt graphics, in some cases it will reboot my system. Taking it out, solves the issue, but 3D objects, will load closer to your aircraft. This is with 2Gb memory, (I had 4GB but removed 2GB as WinXP doesn't use it, and I suspected it may be causing some stability problems, but found that to be caused by disabling a startup program, that another program still running needed. December 23, 200619 yr Author Tom,Thanks for the response. I have been playing with the settings tonight and it seems changing the AGP setting in the BIOS from "auto" to 4x allowed me to run FSX without the freeze up. I'm going to try the 8x setting next and reload FS2004 and see if that will run without freezing also. Thanks,Ken
