December 31, 200619 yr For years I have used an old C: drive 2gb in size. It is in NTFS format. However, this is "thin ice". So, with Windows XP/SP2 on my D: drive, is there a way to make the D: drive the boot drive or must I always have a C: drive? Guess I could just reinstall Windows without the C: drive connected but then I would have activation issues as well as redoing all of the programs who expect to be on the "D": drive.Regards,Dick Boley regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
January 2, 200719 yr All I can say is sometimes it's best just to back up all your docs and then reformat your drives and reinstall all your software. It's amazing how much junk gets installed over the years.IOW, there's no easy way to change drive letters as far as all your installed software is concerned.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
