January 14, 200719 yr I have 91.47 for my 7900 GTO under Windows XP Home Ed 32 bit. There are so many newer nVidia drivers and now the newer 8800 cards and 64 bit stuff. Which driver set should I upgrade to that will be compatible for my system?Appreciate advice, thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
January 20, 200719 yr The question must be asked. Why do you want to "upgrade"?? What's wrong with the 91.47 driver with your video card.? If it's working ok (ie. no decernable problem) then be happy with that driver. An upgrade could quite possibly deliver you problems. Just because a driver is a later release doesn't necessarily mean that its a better driver. (depends what the later driver fixes/disables. )Roger Cheers, Roger http://forum.avsim.net/public/styles_images/flags/au.png
January 20, 200719 yr Author It's no longer an issue. I was having difficulty setting a certain screen res and getting a good result with it. It's fixed now and great. No more problem. 91.47 works great for me and it's a keeper for now and some time to come--maybe forever with this system!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
