Saitek X-52 PRO

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,I've been using a Saitek X-52 for a long time and generally like it for FS9/FSX. I notice that Saitek now has a similar model called the X-52 PRO which is almost double the price of the X-52 but looks exactly like the X-52 (with minor differences). Has anyone tried the new PRO and if so, what do you think about it compared to the X-52. Please indicate if you have also used the X-52 as well as the X-52 PRO.Thanks,

Hi, also wonder if anyone has tried their new pedals. Still interested if anyone has tried the new X-52 Pro.thanks

It looks like the X-52 Pro is not a huge improvement over the X-52. I looked over the specifications and the only thing aside from improved precision springs was this:"MFD displays data directly from games, including Radio Stack info from Microsoft Flight Simulator 10"That's a nice gimmick, but, do I really need that? Probably not.I am happy with the X-52 right now and don't see a reason to upgrade. For someone who has no joystick at all or is looking to upgrade from a simple joystick system, I'd probably highly recommend the X-52 Pro.Pat

Thanks for the reply, Pat.I agree with your comments - doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I'll bet there will be some good prices available for the X-52 (not pro).
