Featured Replies

hi all, because of my low end system i have had to disable the shaders, although i was getting 22-26 fps with shaders enabled,as soon as i touched down it dropped to about 4-5 fps even at airfields with only a runway(no buildings)when i disabled shaders the fps shoots up again to 22-26 great!!!problem is,although i can live without wet runways and with white taxi signs, what is slightly annoying is all the taxiways and apron are light green and in places brilliant white so i cant see progressive taxi arrows(although the actual runways are fine)all i know about my system--intel p4 3gigwindows xp pronvidia gforce 5500 (yes i know)1 gig ramill be addresing the graphics card and more ram when i can afford it,but does anyone know a quick fix for this problem. regards paul

No...FSX will not display certain things correctly without the shader 2.0 (like the taxiway signs)It is simply a video card issue - sorry

This might sound like a silly question, but have you tried flying in FS2004 as I guess your machine would run fairly well in that sim?Best and Warm RegardsAdrian Wainer

not that silly.....i have 2004 and i had it ruuning so well and i was very satisfied,i was so confident(greedy)about fsx that i uninstalled it and gave it to a friend,i know what your thinking "that was a silly thing to do".....you are so rightPAUL5MLS NEGCB
