My neighbor's video card (FX5500) just fried, so he went to Circuit City and picked up an X1300 512 MB card to hold him over until he gets his new computer. The only problem is that we can not get the drivers to install. The error message is below, which neither of us are computer literate enough to understand. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated because we are really missing our weekly online flying.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/169444.jpg

that message requires you to set up your computer not with the ATI drivers for your video card, but with generic ones coming with windows. So you could just boot your computer in safe mode to achive this. The proper way would be to remove your drivers with the system settings/software tab by selecting uninstall for the currently installed ATI drivers. You would then have to reboot the computer and will get a desktop with a 640x480 display. From there, try to install the ATI Drivers like you already attempted.Hope this helps,

Thanks Michael, it took us a few minutes to figure out what you were saying, but it is now up and running great. Thanks again.
