May 5, 200719 yr Hi all,Could anyone advise on optimal 8800GTS settings for FSX?I can pretty much max everything out. It works ok but with some impact on frame rates. What is optimal perf/quality combination? My specs: P4 3.0; 2Gb RAM; WinXP Pro; 8800GTS 320/640; FS9 and FSX. Unfortunately cant get the card to work in FS9.... Did everything from tweaking to HD format and reinstallation from scratch - the FS9 just doesn't seem to pickup any changes in the 8800GTS control panel. ThnxIL76

May 6, 200719 yr Have you tried the recommended settings for FSX offered by NVIDIA techs on their web site? I have and receive excellent frames plus excellent graphics. I turned up their recommendations for Autogen and scenery complexity (sparse) to the next levels and did not see any changes in my FPS. Sparse is waaaaay too low as you'll find no buildings at airports (for one). Here's the NVIDIA site (it's well hidden and it took me a very long time to find it again for you): http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_fsx_techtips.html.Anyway, it's a good place to start in tweaking your settings! If you're having problems with FS9, have your tried deleting the fs9.cfg, restarting the sim and letting it rebuild. I've heard this has work for some others. It makes the sim relook at your graphic card/settings.Best regards,Jim
