Can't find the model (error message)

Featured Replies

After loading some Japanese ys11 aircraft I get the following message on the splash screen when loading FS2002:"Can't find the model ys-11v2 in the library"The aircraft concerned has the linemodel=in aircraft.cfg, and in the associated Models folder are the file ys11_ank.mdl, and the file model.cfg which reads (with square brackets):(models)normal=ys11_ankAny ideas on what I should look at next please? The aircaft appear normal (but with some panel problems which are probably unrelated).ThanksBryn

I get the same message. As you said, it doesn't seem to affect anything but I haven't acyually flown the a/c yet because I'm not sure what the problem is.

check in your aircraft folder, make sure the folder for your ys aircraft is named "ys-11v2" without the quotes of course.

>It's the dot wot duz it! Yep :) Thanks guys.It also took me some time reading on the AFG forum to find out how to get some gauges - to move the complete gauges CAB file to the gauges folder without expanding it in any way.I noticed some discussion about how to install 32 bit Virtual Cockpit textures over in the AFG forum. I have a zip file in the package marked 8 bit VC textures, but nothing about 32 bit textures. My VC works ok, so maybe the 32 bit textures are already installed. Any views? If anyone reading this hasn't tried it yet, the link is www.alliedfsgroup.com - it is worth downloading just for the excellent virtual cockpit - one of the best I have yet seen, and excellent for freeware.
