August 3, 200718 yr I'm trying to assemble a reasonable system for FSX without breaking the bank. I plan on using the Intel e6750 chip. I've noticed a considerable price variation in the two motherboards in the title - both having the required P 35 chipset. Is there any reason I should not purchase the Gigabyte motherboard and save $70 (edited)? I don't need wifi or firewire.ThanksPaul Dahlen
August 4, 200718 yr Well, ok then. After reading the many responses I have received, I will go with the gigabyte. Thanks!
August 5, 200718 yr I'm also assembling a system and have looked at the same MOBO's you have. I am also looking at the Abit IP35 Pro as it has also received some great reviews and is priced between the Gigabyte and ASUS. Think I may go with the ABIT. Craig
August 5, 200718 yr Thanks for the reply. Any particular reason you would not choose to pay less for the gigabyte? Thanks
August 5, 200718 yr I'm still up in the air re: my mobo purchase and for once I'm hoping to get the best I can't afford:). Only reason. If I do get the Gigabyte it will be either GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P or DQ6. I don't care about DDR-3 support because it probably won't be affordable for a year or two and by that time there will be even better mobo's. Whatever you get I'd like to know how you make out with it. I'm still a month or two away from purchase. Craig

August 6, 200718 yr Just click on my sig. In short, you get paid to fly jobs with rented planes and can eventually purchase planes and then FBOs. Either fly solo or with a group. All free.
August 6, 200718 yr Not too familiar in regards to the Gigabyte board, but I just got an Asus P5K Deluxe and it's running just fine. I've always preferred Asus boards and they've always been good to me. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
