Featured Replies

Its been just one thing after another with this pc and this poorly coded micro$oft stuff. I just upgraded to windows vista 64 ultimate, using xp I was gettting a playable frame rate all the time. Now with vista on the exact settings I am getting poor fps and horrible blurries. Ive tried fs autostart, doesnt make the slightest difference. What on earth can I do?

HKLMSOFTWAREWow6432NodeMicrosoftAPL NAME NOT FOUNDIve fired up procmon and I found that this entry comes up alot. What does this mean? Its popping up quite a bit.

By reading that, your O.S. is telling you that it can't find an application. I THINK that what the APL means, or it is an APPLET.I think you need to use a REGISTRY CLEANER program. Take a look at what disassociated file names and programs it finds, before you delete them. Make a back up copy of the REGISTRY.If you see a program that you recognise, then perhaps reinstall it, and see if that helps.Just a thought..Mitch

Hey..Mike, Mitch.Mitch, that entry is actually telling Mike that he's running a 64bit version of Windows. To keep it simple, its a component for Windows, to know how to run 32bit applications on a 64bit system, and how to register them in its registry to avoid conflicts. So if there is nothing found (a 32bit application) using that entry, it will say application not found since there is no application allocated to it.Mike, I got your PM.. I'll catch you on AIM later tonight..and we can continue troubleshooting where we left off.

Information...correct information is empowering!Thanks for the head's up.Mitch
