Joystick and Pedals giving me a lot of problems.

Featured Replies

I'm using the Saitek Cyborg Evo and the CH rudder pedals, which I've had for like 2 years. Well the pedals have had their share of problems after the first year. First, the right brake stopped working, which wasn't a huge problem. But now, if I put in full left rudder deflection, it usually sticks. If I hit the 5 key that centers the rudder, but then the pedals stop working until I unplug them and plug them back in. Sometimes if I put in full left deflection I get a "Power Surge on Hub Port" message and the joystick AND pedals stop working. Why does my computer hate my fs hardware so much? lolIf anybody has any input it'd be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you have some bad potentiometers in the rudder pedals. If you know how to solder and have some mechanical ability you can order replacements from CH and replace them. If not, it may be time for some new pedals.

hmm thanks I'll try ordering some new potentiometers. Anybody know about the power surge on hub port thing? I guess that'd be related to the potentiometer problem perhaps.

I don't want to seem lazy or helpless, but I looked on CH's website and couldn't find anything about ordering new potentiometers.

Many thanks Sargeski
