November 9, 200718 yr Futureshop lists products as available but when you go to their store it is not available. I went to buy the 8800GT, drive miles out of my way, get there, and they have never even heard of it. Their internet site says they are "in stock" at the location in questionThe store manager does not see this as a problem. Right, not his problem.I guess they meant MAYBE IN STOCK ??They pulled the same crap on me when the acceleration was out. I had to go there 4 times before they "really" were in stock. Great sales tactic or sloppy accounting?Allen
November 9, 200718 yr Allen- how much time elapsed between your checking the net for avail. and actually arriving at the store? Inventory positions can change rapidly- espec if they are limited qty. specials. I usually phone a specific store to confirm avail.- then ask them to hold one for me to pickup at customer service within say, 2 Hours. The telephone can still beat the internet in many situations! And NEVER trust a computer for accuracy- a pair of human eyes beats computerized inventory every time!Alex Reid
