November 16, 200718 yr One of the recommended Vista updates in the Accelleration readme was the microcode reliability update. I followed the link in the readme file, downloaded it and installed it. Then I realised, a while ago Phil Taylor had made a blog about a microcode reliability update so I checked it out:http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/archive/2007...processors.aspxTo my surprise his link led me to a different update. I downloaded it but when I tried to install it I got a message saying 'this update does not appply to your system'. I have Windows Vista 32bit and an intel quad core CPU and yes I am sure I downloaded the 32bit version. So why do you think I cannot install this update? Thanks
November 16, 200718 yr Usually when I get that message it is because the update has already been installed via the "automatic" update.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpgForum Moderatorhttp://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/ Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
November 16, 200718 yr Are you sure it isn't a part of another update e.g. a small piece of a bigger one?http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpgForum Moderatorhttp://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/ Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
November 16, 200718 yr Here's the direct link for Windows XP:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=enMaybe you hit the wrong link.Regards,Jim Karn
November 17, 200718 yr To Jim,If kd001 is running Vista 32, I guess your link isn't that useful. To kd001,I'm running Vista and the microcode patch was installed on my pc by the regular Windows Vista updates. Very strange if you haven't the installed the patch if you use Windows Update.Ulf B
