November 21, 200718 yr I can't get a second monitor to work off my video card since 'going' Vista. I recall some mention of this but can't find anything specific.Am i missing something obvious? The monitor shows up, but like say..... is greyed out, and i can't select it.The LED on the second monitor doesn't change from amber to green either, so i guess it's getting no signal from the card.I have tried my main monitor in both outlets - works fine.I'm baffled! November 22, 200718 yr Have you checked the "Extend my desktop onto this monitor" checkbox that should appear when you click on the greyed out monitor icon. Also, try dragging and dropping the greyed out monitor to the other side of your enabled monitor icon and see if a dialog box saying something like "The monitor you have selected is not enabled.
