November 27, 200718 yr Folks,Tested the latest 169.12 driver last evening on Vista64 and it appears to be working very well. Check it out when you can. Here are some excerts from the release notes...GeForce 8 Series: The Help topic for Antialiasing inaccurately states to use override when turning off in-game AA. [308859]The override option should be used only if your application does not have built-in antialiasing control.
November 27, 200718 yr Tony,I'll likely be trying these drivers out for Crysis tonight. I no longer expect improvments in FSX with new video drivers. In fact, the only thing I hope for is that the newest version hasn't broken anything relating to FSX / FS9.As an aside, I am majorly impressed with the gameplay and graphics in Crysis. As I choose to run full TH2G res with this game, I have to drop my settings to medium to make it playable, but even at that setting the graphics are just outstanding (shadows, heat shimmer, explosion effects, swaying grass, dust, realistic object physics, trees that get cut down with gunfire, motion blur, and even frogs and butterflies - the list goes on!). Since these are mostly GPU powered features and FSX leaves the graphics card idling most of the time, it would be good to see some of these features appear (the non-violent ones of course!) in FSXI with minor performance hit.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
November 28, 200718 yr Author Gary,I don't own Crysis yet - still working on HL2 episode 1 and 2. Anyway, what I was wondering is how your getting your Q6600 up to 3.5 stable? I'm sure you have the G0 stepping model but curious if your running on air or water cooling. Thanks
