After owning this well balanced controller for just over 8 months now, and have some observations to share with the Flight Sim community. When I purchased it, I was very impressed. Great looks, good feel and positive feedback from the spring loaded stick. The throttle controls were very responsive, as was all the other controls on the controller. All this for a meager $18.99 at the local Best Buy!As soon as I began to get things set up for FS9, I discovered that the center "Mode" switch did absolutely nothing. I have not been able to get the second throttle to work in either FS9 or FSX. There were no drivers for this controller, and only recently have I found one. It along with the SST software still didn't allow for more switches, but that is only a minor if not non-existent issue. Within one to two months of ownership, the the spring loaded catch in the throttles broke. The catch pin fell out and the spring flew out. Again not a major issue, but it shows that either the assembly or engineering was not checked for quality. Just in the last couple of days the top button cover broke off. The cap that contained the threads for th screw cracked off, and I haven't use the protected button for anything. The precision of the controller has begun to fall off, and the throttles are not as crisp. I am not very happy, as the price I paid was an introductory price, and most retailers are selling this for north of $25. Some 9 years ago I paid $49 for a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro, and still have it. IT has the old MIDI style connector and newer motherboards and sound cards no longer have this connector. This is the only reason I purchased another controller. Overall I would have to rate this controller a 2 out of 5. Had I the opportunity to go back to that day, I would not purchase this controller.Currently I am saving my dollars for a CH yoke/throttle quad set up. If anyone can share their long term experience with them please let ma know!

I would consider the Saitek Pro Yoke and Throttle and an extra Throttle quad. Its a very nice piece of flight hardware at a very nice price. Throw in a set of Saitek Pro pedals and your set. I prefer the Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals over my CH Pro Pedals.I would also consider a registered version of FSUIPC if you do not already own it. Much better axis calibration than FSX and far more flexibilty in programming your controls (its great to be able to create custom setups for each aircraft).
