Vista SP1 RC released

Featured Replies

Hi,I saw the news on Phils blog and I've just downloaded it. I know that this is a beta, but it should be stable enough when it's a release candidate (I hope). Anybody have any experience of Vista SP1 RC? Is there any reason not to install?Edited: Well, never mind. I'll install it and hopefully it will work ok.Ulf BCore2Duo X6800, 4GB RAM, BFG 8800GTXCreative SB X-Fi (Gamer mode)Vista 32, FSX Acc/SP2

Hi again,No problems installing SP1. Vista seems to work ok. Only difference that I've noticed so far is that boot time (from BIOS sceen to Vista logon) has increased about 40%. Wonder why. I've got the same services disabled as prior to installing SP1.Ulf B

Rhett,No I didn't. I usually go for my gut feeling. I didn't notice any difference in FSX. But have look at this thread. http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...topic_id=427257Ulf BCore2Duo X6800, 4GB RAM, BFG 8800GTXCreative SB X-Fi (Gamer mode)Vista 32, FSX Acc/SP2
