February 25, 200818 yr "After re-installing FSX SP2 I found a box under Graphics labeled "D3D10=0". I assumed it was the DX10 box and experimented with it. I found that it made drastic changes in FSX when changed from =0 to =1. Turning it on really creates chaos in several of my add-ons; Transparencies go solid, other weird colors appear, etc. I didn't really take time to find out the whole effect, since it is obviously not usable with my set-up."Thrakete,Okay, you went into the FSX.cfg to look for DX10 Preview and I meant starting up FSX, then click on Settings, then Customize to get to the various FSX configuration settings. However, D3D10 is DX10 Preview and l means it's turned on and 0 = off. DX10 Preview does not work well with addon's made with FS9 technology but I recall seeing a prop fix. Do a search in the AVSIM Library for propeller or prop and you might find the fix. If I run across it I'll pass it on. If you like a particular FS9 addon, you'll have to turn DX10 off and things will be back to normal. One neat thing with DX10 that gives good immersion into the game is seeing shadows inside your cockpit. Whoopee doo! But it is neat and it gives you more the sense of flying. You'll have to have aircraft shadows turned on though, again under the Graphics tab in the FSX settings page after you start up FSX.Best regards,Jim

You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."
