March 13, 200818 yr I run Vista home basic 32 bit, 2GB ram. I just got my first oom error! My paging file was custom set to the max of 3069MB at the time of the error. I just let windows adjust the size, and it's down to 2346MB. Is this better? What happened? Don't run any addons. Slidders are mostly high except for traffic (50%).Thanks.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
March 13, 200818 yr Hi, 32 bit windows can only address up to 4gb of ram, and only 2.5 - 3 gigs for applications, no matter how much ram you have or how high you set your paging file. This post should help you, it will allow windows to address more memory.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=438071&page=
March 13, 200818 yr Author Hey thanx. I had already seen this thread, but thought it only applied if I had more than 2 GBs of ram. Hitting head with hammer. Feeling much better after stopping. Have already made the adjustments. Now we will see.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
March 13, 200818 yr Best of luck too ya, these oom's have nothing to do with physical memory, its all about address space.
