Changing default MD-83 to a FSP MD-83

Featured Replies

Guys,Can anyone explain to me how to change in FS2002 the default MD-83 with the FSP MD-83?Any help appreciated.Saludos,Jorge

Jorge,Do you mean you just want the FSP MD-83 to show up in your default traffic instead of the default MD-83? Or do you want to fly it?John

John,Yes, just make the FSP MD-83 the default AI.Thanks,Jorge

Jorge, Yes you can, open the aircraft.cxt file, look for the MD-83 entry. There should be something like AC#1,555, "blh blah" just change that to another MD-80 entry of your choice..

Cheers,

Jorge,Go to your default MD-83 aircraft.cfg file and copy the line "title=McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing MD-83" and use it to replace the title line in your first FSP plane. Then go back and do the same with the lines that end in Paint 1 and Paint 2 for the next two planes you want to substitute. Be sure to remove the original default MD-83 folder from your AIRCRAFT folder or at least make sure their title lines are disabled. Hope this helps.John

John T & John F,Thank you both for the info. That was pretty easy. Going to search FSP website for more (better) AI.Thanks again, Saludos,Jorge
