HiI had a LG 19" Flatron CRT monitor on which I ran FS at 1600x1200x32 with a refresh rate of 100. It has now finally given up the ghost!!!I'm looking at buying a 19" LCD monitor. However, I need some advice. Most of the specs for a 19" give a max res of 1280 x 1024. Can one still run FS at 1600x1200 on these monitors or are the graphics at 1280 x 1024 on LCDs just as good as a CRT at 1600x1200 ?trevor

You will want to run at the native resolution of the monitor (1280 x 1024). I never ran my CRT monitor at the resolution you state, but I had reason to hook up the old CRT the other day after using the LCD for a year, and it was like wearing someone else's glasses. The LCD's lower resolution will give better framerates, and the richer colors should make you happy with the change. With FSX in virtual cockpit view, a 22" widescreen monitor is a must have.ArtBiostar TF560-A2+, Athlon 64X2-6000+, 4GB RAM, Geforce 8800GTS-320MB, 500W PSU, 250GB HD, FSX (SP1-SP2), Vista Home Premium 32 bit, CH Yoke & Pedals, 22" WS LCD monitor
