fsx /vista/ xp pro --------------------------------------------------------------------------------i have two copies of fsx all brand new in the box, bought one and won the other.my last set up i had six coms networked toghether thru wide view, using fs9 and made several copies to run on my other coms.do to a license with fsx i will have to go out and buy 1 more copy maybe two more copies , no problem. (gotta do what you gotta do)im sold on wideview and seen what and how it works, its amazing how it looks.anyway will fsx work just as good with xp pro or is fsx made for vista or will it work better with vista.i like vista for my home com and laptop, but i dont really care about the looks on my sim.my plan is to use tripleh2go for the front and wideview for the extreme side views.thanks....Robert

I personally use it with XP Pro. The only thing I don't get is DX10. But I've heard people having a lot of texture issues with DX10 - so I don't even care. I use Flight Environment X for all my water and sky needs heheWith Vista though, you can get the 64bit version and buy 4GB of RAM and Vista will use all of that. Whereas in XP it only recognizes about 3.25 GB of RAM.

Hi,I might add that XP also have a 64 bit version, so restricted memory is no problem with XP.I run FSX in Vista Home Premium 32 and have no problems with performance. I've tweaked Vista and turned of many services that I don't need. UAC and Defender is disabled. I use NOD32 anti virus program, which have a very small footprint and have no effect on performance in FSX at all.I previously used XP and it took a long time to get used to Vista and to learn how to tweak it. A tweaked Vista is pretty much the same as XP, so why bother with Vista? I plan to build a new pc later this year or early next year. Will I install Vista or XP? Probably Vista because I own a retail license, but I would have installed XP if I had a XP retail license.Ulf BCore2Duo X6800 3.3GHz4GB RAM Corsair XMS2-8500C5BFG 8800GTX, Creative SB X-FiFSX Acc/SP2, Vista 32
