October 8, 200817 yr I am in the process of building a new machine around an Intel 8400 (3Ghz) processor. My videocard is a GeForce 8800 GTS (320Mb) and I am going to install 4Gb of GSkill 800 high performance RAM. I have the latest superfast Raptor HD 320Gb SATA2 version. The motherboard, on the other hand, seemed to have all the features I was looking for. However, after I purchased it from NewEgg, I looked at some reviews and they said that it was a good board but that it only supports a single channel RAM setting (It uses the nForce 630i). Had it shown that on the NewEgg site, I would not have purchased it.I only want this machine for FS9 and Windows XP.You guys are probably wondering why I skimped on the motherboard (only an nForce 630i), and why I did not bother to get a better one,Anyway, is a single channel vs. dual channel MB worth the worry, ot should I send it back right away and order a better dual channel board.I really appreciate you guys giving me some insight!RH

October 9, 200817 yr Author It was a Foxconn M7PMX-5 but am now in the process of returning it. Yesterday, I purchased an ASUS PQ-5 instead and inserted my 8400, and boy does this mother fly! I have not even installed FS9 yet, but even in everyday operations it is much faster than my old Athlon X2 6400+, and I have not even begun to overclock.RH
