October 10, 200817 yr I recently had to send my computer in for some repairs and they messed up some files in my Fmcwp and elsewhere...My Question is: I want to reinstall my FS9 in it's entirety and keep FS10 as is. Do I go into the add/remove & do it that way PLUS go into program files for FS9 and make sure everything is deleted there and is that sufficient to clear everything out for a fresh install of FS9 and will any of this affect FS10?? I've never had to do this before so I'm not familiar with some of the in's & out's of it!!Hope somebody can give me a 'heads-up' on what to do so I don't mess anything else up.Anybody care to take a stab?Regards, jack
October 10, 200817 yr Yes, do the uninstall, delete the program files file, plus the application data ( where the cfg. file is located.) Then do some kind of registry clean. There are free programs to do that.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
October 10, 200817 yr Bob,Thanks for the 'heads-up'...Should I also delete the other files under:Application Data Microsoft Fs9 Aircraft ?? Facilities ?? Scenery Cache ?? FS9 (Config. file) Wxstationlist ??Also, do you know the name of a 'good' FREE registry cleaner?Regards & thanks again for your inputs.jack
October 10, 200817 yr I have used CCleaner and a cleaner by Glary. Sometimes both. Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
