October 23, 200817 yr My track IR came in today and all I have to say is WOW! I am still working on getting the feel of it but love it so far. I have a couple of questions for you Track IR 4 w/clip users.1) Are there any settings that are a must I should use?2) I have the trackClip Pro and even though I have TrakClip Pro selected in the motion tab at the bottom of that window it says it is using vector tracking. Is that just a bug? Thanks in advance for your advise.Jim Jim Wenham
October 23, 200817 yr I also use the Pro Clip and love it. The hat clipon was closer to an exercise in frustration... just worked godd or often enough for me to keep using it.It also says "vector" next to "tracking" for me. But when I go to edit my profile it says "Track Cip Pro".Under "tracking settings", check "light filtering" and set it to max. In the upper left habd corner, make sure "Camera LEDs on" is UNchecked.I am including my profile for you to try, the one problem I ocasionally had was looking at the overhead. This improved when I quit running TrackIR in above normal priority. TrackIR recomends above normal, see what works for you.Best regards and congrats...:-waveDonald T.
October 24, 200817 yr On the TrackIR website there's a profile called "OPTIMISED FLIGHT". Download it and use it. It's the best setup for FS2004/X.You'll never look back at the 2d panel era ever again. It will take a few weeks of botched landings on the grass beside the runway to get used to the setup but once it all "clicks" you'll be in a completely new sim. You tend to overcorrect at first due to head movement but you'll work it out. October 24, 200817 yr To load the profile, just copy it to the profiles folder - c:program filesnaturtalpointtrackir 4profiles.On the bottom, it will say vector (regardless of vector or trackclip pro), as they both use the vector (3-dot) tracking algorithm.
October 25, 200817 yr Author Thanks for the tip to get the profile. It does make it alot better. Jim Wenham
