October 25, 200817 yr Hi, I have 8 GB 800 of SLI ready ram. My 780i board only supports 4GB of SLI ram. So the other 4 is a waste. Should I upgrade my ram to a faster 1200 and only run 4GB? I read FSX only needs 4 GB to run.Greg Moorehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo_hauler.gif Greg Moore KFMH https://forum.pmdg.com/filedata/fetch?id=127275&d=1622041469&type=thumb
October 25, 200817 yr You should be fine with 4 GB of 1200 RAM. Even 800 should suffice. I run my 800 RAM at 961 without any complaints. FSX runs smoothly.Regards, Regards, BoeingGuy ASUS P5E X38 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz on 1600 MHz FSB (400x8) | 4 GB DDR2-800 RAM | EVGA GeForce 8800 GT Superclocked @ 679/979 | 320 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 RPM HD
