I, for one, have tried all the cfg tweaks and found that none of them helped me. I think my sim flies better without them. Everyons's rig is different, though.Bob

i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

You would be best served to set up the best settings for YOUR particular system. If you did install someone elses FSX.cfg on your system, FSX would automatically change all the settings based on YOUR system at startup. You have a decent rig. Run FSX first with the default settings. These are the settings Microsoft techs developed based on your particular system and hardware installed (I found the graphics to be very good with the default settings plus the frame rates were high). Then you can start doing some tweaking if you so desire. As of right now, there is no computer system that can run all the settings set to max (sliders full right) and, in some cases you don't want them set to the max as ground scenery will be affected. Some have set their settings to max and say they suffer no ill affects but you're putting your system to a lot of stress and crashes are highly likely especially after running FSX for any length of time. I haven't edited my FSX.cfg with any so called tweaks either (as the other responder stated) and recommend you stay away from them unless you know for sure they will work. I haven't seen any that work yet but graphics and FPS are all to the eyes of the beholder. I assume you are running FSX on a 64bit Vista or XP system since you have 8GB of memory. The 32bit Windows version cannot see memory addresses above 4GB. So, if you're not on a 64bit OS, I would strongly recommend you install it so all of your memory can be "seen". Hope you enjoy FSX like many others!!Best regards,Jim
