FlightGear v0.9.4

Featured Replies

I just wanted to post a brief announcement saying that FlightGear v0.9.4 is now officially released.A prebuilt, installable win32 version is available for immediate and free download (as is the entire source code for the project.)In the next week or two we will have v0.9.4 CD's available for those with slow or expensive net connections.Regards,Curt.

Curt!!! I did't realize you were here! See my message to Peter below. We would be more than happy to mirror the flight gear files if you need the bandwidth/backup. If that is of interest, we could create a seperate category just for FlightGear. Let me know.

Tom,I can't promise to look at stuff here daily, but I'll visit once in a while. FlightGear is distributed under the terms of the GPL so you have all the permissions granted by the GPL to copy and distribute FlightGear. What do you need from me to move forward? Is this a "push" operation, or do you "pull".Curt.

"What do you need from me to move forward?"A fast DSL line in my neighborhood... :)Seriously, if any user is reading this and would like to upload per Curt's above message, then feel free. AVSIM be will happy to mirror the files. I am not going to be able to do it myself cause my miserable dial up at home limits me seriously when trying to share files in cases like this. Is there someone out there with DSL or broadband that would like to populate the AVSIM library with FlghtGear files? If so, have at it! Thanks Curt.

Tom,The latest version has been uploaded by tlc8126 to the Misc section. If a FlightGear category (or set of categories) could be created, that would be fantastic. FlightGear really deserves the support that commercial flight sims get. That way, I would hope that more people will contribute to it. If FGFS had the number of aircraft, scenery, panels, tools and other add-ons that FS has, it would really take off. The talent is out there, they just need to be in here. :-hahPeter http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/PeterR.gifBFU Forums ModeratorRenegade/Seawolf Design Group (RSDG)

http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/logo75t.gifBush Flying Unlimited"At home in the wild"Looking for adventure?
