The last video card driver is typically>working better [...]>>Do other 3D applications work on this system with this driver?>Other OpenGL applications? Or is it only fgfs?I don't quite know much about what is OpenGL. The programs I have that use more graphic stuff are Bricscad Intellicad (a cad program), Coreldraw and Corel Photo-Paint, and Blender3D (this last one I haven't used yet, just dowloaded - I think it will try to use OpenGL too...). I have o games nor other complicated graphic software. My graphic card is onboard, from S3.Hope I've answered your questionthanks

So try Blender, and if it doesn't work either (or not with HW acceleration), then we know at least that it's no problem on the flightgear side.

Yes, I loaded an aircraft that runs on jsbsim. The warning message disappears. Thank you.But the core problem remains. I cannot see any scenery outside the cockpit. The instrument panel appears if I activate it. But outside the cockpit is only white background if the day time, or total black if at night.David

Perhaps you're in a fog/cloud layer. Try to hit 'z' ( lower caps ) several times

(it's an S3 Kn400 with a Via Unichrome chipset)I guess there's not much I can do, right?thanksnuno gouveiaflying from portugal

I don't think I can do that. My computer is a laptop with an integrated graphic card... I guess there's not much I can do, right?nuno gouveiaflying from portugal

I searched for OpenGL wrapper and found a sort of alfa verion witch I'm not sure I can use. Do you suggest any? Where can I find such software (commercial or open-source)?thanks againnuno gouveiaflying from portugal

The wrapper doesn't change a thing. I still have the same problems. Anyway, in a few years I'll buy a new computer and maybe then I'll gly with FG ;-) thanksnuno gouveia(almost) flying from portugal
