Painting a Cargo version

Featured Replies

I am new to aircraft painting and have got the basics figured out to paint a UPS Cargo plane. My only question now is how do I get rid of the windows. As an example, I downloaded the PSS A330 paint kit and painted up the UPS cargo plane but now it has windows. I have tried to cover up what I thought looked like windows but it did not work. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.Mark.

Paint over them!Select the area where the windows are and paint over using the paint brush the same colour as the area without windows and you will not be able to see them anymore...another was it so select a strip to the side of the windows and then stretch that piece over the windows using the transform tool..this is a quick way of removing the windows and will blend nicely with the colours on the fuselage.

That information is in the mdl file. Painting over the windows might have worked in some of the FS2002 planes but not on true FS9 planes. My 2 centsJoe W.

That's what I thought. In FS9 if you look through the windows of some planes you can see the scenery on the otherside. So how do you edit the MDL files to erase them ?Mark.

Oops yeah did not see you were painting the PSS330 with 3D windows...in short unless you convince PSS to make non 3D windows you can't remove them. :)
